The NFL Experience is only at the Super Bowl. I took Caleb last night to check it out. It provides an outlet for your inner quarterback, running back, receiver, or kicker. The following is Caleb running through of the running back drills.
I know everyone thinks that Florida, the sunshine state, doesn’t get cold, and I might even be guilty of contributing to that myth. But even when it is 60 degrees going for a swim makes things very cold.
Last Saturday, Abbey was outside playing with Caleb while I was just inside the door talking on the phone with MS support about recovering my Xbox Live Gamertag (another story for another post). Caleb and Abbey were running around and at some point she dropped/threw her ball into the pool. Abbey goes and grabs a water noodle to help here reach the ball, but leans too far and then splash! I hear the splash, being only 4 feet from the open sliding glass door, so as I start to move towards the door, I hear another splash. By the time I get to the door I see both of my kids in the pool. Running out there I help pull Abbey cry from the pool. Caleb had jumped in after her. I think Abbey was more upset over being wet and still not having her ball than she was for the fact of falling into the pool. Caleb was in shock over the events. Talking with him after, he was apologizing for ruining his cell phone (which was in his pocket when he jumped in) and still a little scared about the events. He said “I didn’t think about it, I just jumped.” He was fully clothed. We are very proud of Caleb for his quick action.
That was enough excitement for the week!
By the way, it appears the Caleb’s cell phone still works!
Another big loss this week. We were the home team playing Lakewood at Dixie’s field, not sure how that works out to be a home game, but it did. Needless to say, we still have not found our first win yet. Hopefully we will find it in one of the last three games. Here are some highlights of Caleb from Saturdays’ game. He is #12 in white. Enjoy
Caleb’s football team did not lose this past week. Of course, they didn’t play, but hey, it wasn’t a loss.
Since Caleb didn’t have a football game, we thought we would have a little fun. Someone at church advertised for a windsurfing class, so Caleb and I signed up. Below are some shots of Caleb cutting up some surf. However, you notice there are none of me. That is because of the last picture posted. Abbey cut her foot on some barnacles in the water and it looked bad enough to take her to a clinic to be looked at. Since we were there with friends, we left Caleb to his lessons, and Lori and I took Abbey to the doctors. No stitches were needed, but a good cleaning was. So I missed out on the rest of my lessons. I guess I will just have to go out on another day. Maybe, leave Abbey with someone next time.
